E46 Airbag Recall
Original recall # 13V172000: BMW is performing a recall on various 3 series models from model years 2002 through 2003. Air bag inflator may rupture when the air bag is deployed. Due to a possible defect in the passenger front air bag, excessive internal pressures may cause the inflator to rupture when the air bag is deployed. Affected models.
BMW recalls the older vehicles of the Series 3 (E46 – pictured) and 5 (E39) which were not affected by the Takata recall in 2017 (recall code: “0032480200” – see here).
